Kripalu Yoga Classes
Hello!
I am a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher (200 hr.) and a Kripalu- certified Adolescent Yoga Teacher (75 hr.). I was drawn to Kripalu for its focus on non-judgmental self-observation and self-compassion (the Sanskrit word Kripalu means compassion.) A Kripalu Yoga class invites you to observe and honor the present state of your body, mind, and emotions, and to modify yoga postures to fit your needs.
I have also been participating in additional yoga teacher-training from Rachel Scott Yoga .
In my classes, I offer plenty of modifications to postures to provide gentler or more challenging experiences. Each class begins with mindful centering and relaxing breathwork, and continues with whole-body warm-ups and yoga asanas (postures) for strengthening and balance. Meditative music accompanies the movements. Classes end with an opportunity for deep relaxation and meditation. Classes are at the following location in the fall, winter, and spring. Contact me for more details and information on the next session.
